Mind Body and Soul

PHOTO BY DAVID KORCHINCalm and wellbeing has taken over a small corner of Greenport. Located in the old Masonic Temple, Five Branches, which opened in May, is not just a spa but is focused on the overall well being of its customers, says owner Rachel Reich. The name stems from the “five branches” of a holistic lifestyle that include acupuncture, massage, diet, herbs and exercise which Rachel, along with her two sisters Jenny Wood and Carolyn Reich, offer at this welcoming location. Treat yourself to a life changing experience!  Get more info >

Fall in Love with the North Fork

PHOTO BY DAVID KORCHINHere are some of our favorite things to do when autumn hits the North Fork. A bowl of chowder and some oysters at Blue Canoe. Love Lane Kitchen's lobster roll. A foamy latte at Aldo's. A glass or two of Pinot at McCall Wines. Wandering through Orient Village. Noah's crab taco. A walk through Shinn Estate Vineyards. Collecting shells on Cedar Beach. 9 holes at Cedars Golf Course. A blackberry-apple pie at Briermere Farm. Pumpkin and apple picking at Wickham's Fruit Farm. Late afternoon cocktails on the beach with plenty of blankets, wine and Salamander's fried chicken.
